Surviving are four sons, Kenneth Clayton Hess, 2531 Joppa Road:j Leon W. Hess, 298 Rathton Road; Glenn E. Hess, at home, and La-Verne E. Hess. Brooklyn, N.Y.; a daughter, Mrs. Paul W. Jones, 167 Leaders Heights Road: five grandchildren: one great-grand child, and three brothers, Wilbert G. Hess, York RD 2: Woodrow S. Hess, Broad Street, Emigsville, and Leonard I. Hess, 1412 2nd Ave.
Mr. Hess was owner and operator of York-Electric Stoker Co. for 23 years. He was a member of the Red Lion congregation of Jehovahs Witnesses.
Larry Jamison, of the congregation, will officiate at funeral services Friday at 10 a.m. at the Baumeister and Orcutt Colonial Mortuary, South Queen and Jackson streets. Interment will be in Salem Union Cemetery, Jacobus.
