Harriet was first interred at Odd Fellows cemetery San Francisco in the section known as Encampment Hill, Tier 2 , Grave 2 along with her son Samuel B Jr.in a plot owned by Mary L. Blood. Then on 19 Feb 1887 her remains were removed to Laurel Hill which is now Cypress Lawn, for the reason that the city of San Francisco passed laws that almost all cemeterys were to have all it's remains removed out of the city. Those from Laurel Hill were moved to Cypress Lawn.
