Susan was the sixth child of Samuel and Gertrude (Dahle) Johnson, the youngest daughter. She married Wilfred "Bill" Abendschein (#28657750) in the early 1950s and was later divorced. Susan married 29 May 1960 to Raymond Erickson in Lane County, Oregon, but lived for a time in Minneapolis. After their divorce in 1973, Susan and her daughter, Laura moved back to Oregon where she worked for Roseburg Lumber. Laura died of cancer at age 17.
