St George - La Nita Gubler, 73, mother, daughter and sister unexpectedly passed away on August 4, 2018 in St George, Utah.
She was born on May 28, 1945 in St George, Utah to Norman and La Voun Gubler.
La Nita lived in Santa Clara, Utah until she was 12 years old when her family moved to Las Vegas, Nevada.
She graduated from Rancho High School in 1963, where she had the privilege and honor to be selected as a cheerleader and the homecoming queen.
She later attended BYU for 2 years.
There she met and married Richard Thompson (later divorced) and lived in Manhattan Beach, California.
There they had 2 children.
La Nita later moved to Las Vegas, Nevada where she raised her daughter and son.
La Nita is survived by and will forever be remembered by her daughter, La Nae (Wayne) Brian, son, Bryce (Katja) Gubler and grandchildren Ian Brian and Conner Brian. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Janice (Don) Miller, Kay (Lynn) Gubler, Wendell (Linda) Gubler, Carol (Richard) Christensen, Sherrie (Tom) Clark, Don (Mary Ann) Gubler, and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
There will be a graveside service held on Friday August 10, 2018 at 11:00 am at the Santa Clara Cemetery (3780 Windmill Dr, Santa Clara, Utah), under the direction of Southern Utah Mortuary.
