Lewistown, Dec. 1 – Mrs. Elizabeth Stewart, 83, died Tuesday at the home of her son, John Quickenden, chairman of the board of county commissioners, near this city. Death followed a stroke of paralysis sustained several days ago. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon from the Presbyterian church. Mrs. Stewart had resided in Lewistown nearly a quarter of a century, although making occasional visits to Los Angeles. She is survived by three sons, the Rev. Henry Quickenden, former pastor of the Presbyterian church here and now of Los Angeles; Charles and John Quickenden, and four daughters, Mrs. TeSelle, Mrs. Holcomb, and Mrs. Newell of Los Angeles, and Mrs. Young of South Dakota.
She was previously married to Charles Quickenden Sr., 21 Jan 1866, Chipstead, Surrey, England. They first settled in Cleveland, Ohio.
