Services for Randall Eugene Stone, 80, of Chandler, are scheduled for Monday, August 13, 2018, at 2:00 PM at Chandler Memorial Funeral Home with Kris Emerson officiating. Burial will be in Chandler Memorial Cemetery under direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home.
Randall Eugene Stone born January 9, 1938, in Chandler, Texas, to Raymond and Gwen Stone. He attended Chandler School, Dixie and graduated from Van High School in 1956.
Randall married Nancy Lee Hanna March 17, 1961, in Mineola Texas. They have 5 children Don, Steve, Sherroll, Bruce and Kim. His family spent 20 years in the military traveling to each assignment until retiring in 1980 as a Master Sargeant. He was also a Vietnam Veteran.
He attended college in most of the places he lived, Arkansas, University of Philippines, TCU in Ft Worth, University of California, and back to Tyler where he went back to school to become a Realtor and Broker. In 1985 he went to work for Farmers Insurance while maintaining his Real Estate License. He retired after 20 years with Farmers and continued to travel with wife, Nancy.
Randall was an active gardener, and loved to fish. But mostly he loved spending time with his family and going to church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Larry M. Stone, all of Chandler.
He leaves his wife of 57 years Nancy Stone, children Larry Don Stone of Haltom City, TX, Steve Stone of Paradise, TX, Sherroll Butcher of Chandler, Bruce Stone and wife Jamie of Grand Prairie, TX and Kimberly Nolen and husband Randy Nolen of Chandler, 14 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren, brothers, a sister and many friends.
