George R. "Butch" Jamison, age 73, of Campbell, NY went home to be with the Lord on Friday, August 10, 2018 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.

George was born on August 11, 1944 in Corning to George and Norma (Mattison) Jamison, II. George graduated from Campbell High School and served his country in the United States Air Force from 1963 – 1967. He married Mary DiLaura on December 3, 1966 in St. Vincent's Church.

He owned Jamison Small Engine Repair in Riverside until he moved the business to Painted Post and started Jamison Marine. He moved the business to Campbell until his retirement in 2014. George loved his businesses and his customers.

George was a member of the Painted Post Kiwanis Club, Campbell American Legion, Corning Moose, barber shop quartet, and communicant of St. Joseph's. He was an avid fisherman and hunter.

He is survived by his wife Mary; daughter, Theresa (George Bogner) Jamison of Corning; son, George (Kristen) Jamison, III of Big Flats; sister, Janice (Andy) Cole of Campbell; brothers, David (Angela) Jamison of Campbell and Bill (Pauline) Jamison of Dundee; grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Zachary, Ashley, and Allison; sisters-in-law, Donna Jamison, Joann DiLaura, Angie and Frances DiLaura; many nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his grandson, Thomas Dietterich; brother, John Jamison; brothers-in-law, Edward, Frank, and Joseph DiLaura; and mother-in-law, Catherine DiLaura.
