Mrs. S. Ferguson Funeral Held.
Mrs. Sam Ferguson died on April 25th at the Samaritan Nursing Home in Rochester where she had been living for the past six years.
Born on Sept 20, 1875, in Chatfield, the former Margaret Carroll was married to Mr. Ferguson on January 25th, 1895. They farmed in this area.
Mrs. Ferguson was preceded in death by her husband, who passed away on Nov. 5th, 1960, and by one brother and five sisters.
She is survived by five sons, Walter of Hillsboro, Ore., Leo of Soap Lake, Wash., Glenn of Billings, Mont., Sidney of Denver, Colo., and Robert of Rochester; five daughters, Mrs. Hiram (Leonora) Johnson, of Oakes, N. D., Mrs. Carl (Vera) Baier of Cody, Wyo., Mrs. Edward (Hazel) Gill of St. Charles, and Mrs. Nelson Follensbee and Miss Berniece Ferguson, of Worland, Wyo.; 27 grandchildren, 84 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
The Rev. Robert Villwock conducted the funeral services on Monday, April 29th, at 1:30 p.m. at the Pioneer Presbyterian Church. Interment was in the Chatfield Cemetery.
The pallbearers were Sam Johnson, Willis Johnson, Robert Gill, Darrell Gill, James Ferguson and John Ferguson.
