Obituary for Pearl D. Anderson
Pearl D. Anderson, age 95, of Kankakee, passed away Friday, August 10, 2018 at Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth.
She was born December 23, 1922 in St. Anne, the daughter of Leonard & Bernice Caise O’Lena.
Pearl married Clarence W. Anderson on May 30, 1942 at St. Anne Catholic Church in St. Anne. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1999.
She was a graduate of St. Anne High School.
Pearl retired from Riverside Medical Center in Kankakee after 20 years. She had also worked for J.C. Penney.
She enjoyed bowling, playing cards, and traveling.
She was a parishioner of Maternity B.V.M. Catholic Church in Bourbonnais.
Surviving are one daughter and son-in-law, Jeanne & Roger Benjamin; two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert & Kathy Anderson and Ronald & Joyce Anderson; one sister, Rita Griffin; five grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by her parents; two grandsons, Troy Anderson and Mike Anderson; and one brother, Orville O’Lena.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. funeral Mass on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Maternity B.V.M. Catholic Church.
Interment will follow at St. Anne Catholic Cemetery in St. Anne.
Memorials may be made to Prairieview Lutheran Home in Danforth.
