It is with love, admiration and sadness to announce the passing of Charles (Mickey) Ketchum.

Charles passed away to leave those he loved and to join his beloved wife in Heaven on August 10, 2018 at the Big Bend Hospice House. His last days were filled with loving care from his family as well as the phenomenal staff at Tapestry Assisted Living, Senior Transitions and Big Bend Hospice.

He was born in Tallahassee on December 21, 1946, to the late Charles Ketchum and Hazel Sapp. He faithfully served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and later retired from the City of Tallahassee as a foreman in the Water and Sewer Division.

Charles was a gift to us all; his love was without judgment, his humor lifted us up and his kindness was relentless. He will be missed by all.

Charles is survived by his loving and dedicated family; daughter, Teena Bhuvasorakul (husband, Lucas); son, Carl Ketchum (wife, Shannon); grandkids, Mikaela, Ethan, Arya and Rylee; and his sisters, Dianne Ketchum and Debra Schiller; and his forever friend, Davis Quick.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 AM, Monday, August 13, 2018, at Abbey Funeral Home, with the funeral service following at 11:00 AM. Interment is Tallahassee Memory Gardens.
