Born June 13, 1951, in Catawba County, he was a son of Pauline Kaylor Mitchell of
Hickory and the late Clyde Lincoln Mitchell. A charter member of LIving Waters
Church, he was employed by Huffman Metal Works.
Survivors, in addition to his mother, include two daughters, Callie Mitchell and Ariel
Mitchell of the home; two brothers, Jerry Mitchell of West Jefferson and Kavin Mitch-
ell of Hickory; two sisters, Kay Jenkins and Dianne Huffman of Hickory; former wife,
Lisa Mitchell of Hickory; six nephews and nieces; a great-nephew; two great-nieces;
and a great-great-nephew.
The funeral will be conducted by the Revs. Michael Jenkins and Sonny Nelson at 1 p.m
Saturday at Bass-Smith Funeral Home. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Ronald Bolick, Dennis Bolick, Van Bolick, David Woods, Bradley
McLawhorn, Bill Smarkey, and Mack Guthrie.
