Poet, teacher, journalist. Member of the Petõfi and the Dugonics Literatury Clubs. Radically leftist, often complained for the social and political alteration of Hungary. Leader of the Radical Party, and member of the Szeged National Council during the 1918-19 revolutions. The muse of his amorous lyre was Anna Sárváry, an actress, who wasn't requite his love. His fate was tragic: he had a nervous breakdown, and he tried to commit suicide several times. Finally he poisoned himself.
