Gilberto Ramirez rez, a loving husband, father and grandfather went home to the Lord on August 1, 2018 at the age of 79. He was born on July 6, 1939 in Nuevo Laredo MX. He was a remarkable guitar player, he played for special occasions and as a pastime. He was a very devoted Church Deacon, who loved to praise the Lord and played the guitar at church for many years. He loved his family, and adored his grandkids, family was his whole life. He loved to go to Nuevo Laredo, MX to visit family and loved wearing his Tejana hat almost as much as he loved his family. He is preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Maria Eva Ramirez. Left behind to Cherish his memory is his loving wife of 55 years, Eva Ramirez; daughters Patricia (Juan Jose) Muñoz, Ana M. (Abelardo) Silva and Teresa Ramirez; grandchildren Anabel Muñoz, Eva (Andrew) Kasten, Cristina (Alfonso) Martinez, Abel E. (Jackie) Silva, Anabel A. Silva, Victoria T. Cordova, Ariana Cordova (Lee), and Isaac E. Cordova. Gilberto is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Alejandro, Erick, Andrew, Nathan, Nathaly Rose, Samuel, Elijah, Sophia, Alejandra, Elena, and Ethan; one sister, Lucia (Jose) Cervantes and numerous extended family and friends. Visitation will be held at Memory Gardens Funeral Home on Monday, August 6, 2018 from 5:00pm to 9:00pm. Chapel Services will be held on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at 10:00am with entombment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery Mausoleum.
