LaDonna Sue "Susie" (Morris) Young, 59 passed away on August 9, 2018 in Calvin.
She was born on December 1, 1958 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Wadie and Luella (Sargent) Morris.
Susie graduated from Northwest Classen High School. She worked for Wrangler Inc. for many years as a seamstress.
She married Norman Young on December 1, 2010 in Arkansas. Susie enjoyed going fishing and camping and riding 4-wheelers. More than anything she enjoyed socializing with friends and family. Susie and Norman enjoyed cooking for loved ones and having them gather at their home. Her love of cooking lead her to the Calvin Nutrition Center where she was a cook for many years.
She is preceded in death by her parents Wadie Harold Morris and Luella Lorene (Sargent) Loper, brother Bobby Ray Morris.
Survivors include her husband, Norman of the home, children Timothy Kingsbury of Oklahoma City, Lewis Johnson of Calvin, step-daughter Brittany Young of Ada, siblings Terry Morris, Harold Morris, Ricky Morris, Cheryl Widmar, nieces and nephews Megan Semtner, Jessica Lino, Britney Kirk, Ryan Morris, great-nieces and nephews Aden, Gabriel, Mia, Charlee, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Family visitation will be from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, August 13, 2018 at the Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville.
Graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 AM on Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Calvin Cemetery Chapel. Pallbearers will be Jim Dockery, Faron Young, Bill Jacobs, Derrik Pace, Randy Austin, Paul Lindley Sr. Honorary bearer will be Dakota Blaylock. Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home in Holdenville.
