First wife of Isaac Fellows. The following terrific clarification is from Findagrave contributor Sara:
RE: Isaac & Lucy Fellows
"Hi Dave,
I'm just inputting memorial pages for Woodstock Hill Cemetery in CT from the Hale Listings done in the 1930's. There are 3 Fellows gravestones on page 146:
Fellows, Sarah Paine daughter of Isaac & Leah d 30 Mar 1788 age 18 years
Fellows, Sarah daughter of Isaac & Leah d 10 Oct 1768 age 10 weeks 8 days
Fellows, Lucy wife of Isaac d 5 Aug 1766 age 23 years
on the next page 147 there is:
Fellows, Leah wife of Isaac d 16 Oct 1801 age 68 years (so she is probably right near the other 3 Fellows gravestones in the row behind or in front them)
I'm just guessing but it looks like Isaac had a wife named Lucy who died in 1766...perhaps in childbirth..not sure. (Enlarge your gravestone photo that you have named "Isaac Fellows" #192122242. Here's how you do it...click on the photo..on the next page it will state "View original"..click on that. Then click on the gravestone photo on the next page to enlarge it and you will see (hopefully) that it states Lucy wife of Isaac...)
Then it looks like he married Leah who was the mother of Sarah who d in 1768 and then they named their next daughter also Sarah who was born around 1770 and d 1788.
Hopefully this all makes sense!!
Just did a search on Ancestry public trees ...a good place to get some ideas to start with but sometimes there's little verified info. Anyway it states that Isaac died in 1776..perhaps on Long Island or Enfield CT...quite a difference in death locations!! But one of the trees also states that he had 2 wives..Lucy and then Leah.
