Grace Rose Edwards, 77, of Indianapolis, went to be with the Lord and her Heavenly home in the early morning hours of August 9, 2018. She was born on May 4, 1941 in London, KY to the late Willie and Lula Lloyd Blankenship.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings; sister Bulice, and brothers Earl and Clarence.
She was the pastor's wife of Blaine Avenue Holiness Church for 32 years. She was a prayer warrior and loved to read God's word and spread his love to all. She was a blessing to everyone she came in contact with, always helping those in need. She was employed by Naval Avionics, Western Electric, and later was a home-healthcare specialist. Her hobbies include sewing, quilting, crocheting, embroidery, canning, painting, cooking, and baking. She also loved to laugh and play pranks on friends and family.
She is survived by Roy her loving husband of 56 years; daughter Marti(Hardin) Joseph of Germantown, Ohio; son, Shane(Rita) Edwards of Indianapolis, Indiana; two grandsons, Garrett Joseph and Zach Edwards, both of Indianapolis. two granddaughters, Alexandria Rose Joseph and Autumn Anderson, both of Germantown, Ohio. She is survived by sisters; Mary Overbey, Imogene Bowling, and Betty Mays, all of London, Kentucky; Ruby Allen, Pauline(Wayne) Parker, both of Hamilton, Ohio. She is also survived by a brother, Virgil(Janey Mae) Blankenship of London, Kentucky.
Visitation will be on Monday, August 13, 2018 from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Shelby Street Pentecostal Lighthouse Church, 8620 South Shelby Street, Indianapolis, IN. The funeral service will be officiated by Reverends Donald Messer, Landall Smith, and Wayne Grace on Tuesday at 12:00 noon with additional visitation from 11:00 AM until time of service. She will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
