William Lantz died at Twin Mound, November 13, 1917. He was born in Germany, June 29, 1835 and was therefore 82 years, 4 months and 14 days old. The wife of his youth having died in his early manhood, he married his present deceased wife Christina Blenn, 41 years ago. He came from Germany with his family direct to his late home in Pottawatomie township in 1883. He leaves three children by his first wife and three by his second. They are Mrs. Steve Valburg of Blaine, Mrs. Minnie Dorl of Cushing, Oklahoma, Mrs. O. P. Kinnett, Mrs. W. H. Hower of Hutchinson, Mrs. A. M. Newman of Twin Mound and O. F. Lantz of Oskaloosa. The deceased was a life long member of the German Evangelical Association church. The funeral services were held November 17 at the Sale school house and were conducted by Rev. E. O. Raymond of Westmoreland. Interment was in the cemetery near the school house.
