Joy LaVerne Esau, 85 year old resident of Claremore, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018 in Owasso, Oklahoma. The daughter of John and Gladys (Ketchersid) Curtis, she was born in Gravette, Arkansas on December 9, 1932. Joy worked in data entry and was united in marriage to Gary Esau on July 21, 1951.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gary, in 2012; her parents, John and Gladys Curtis; and brother, Bob Curtis.
Survivors include four sons: Dan Esau (Patti), Michael Esau (Vickie), Greg Esau, and Jeff Esau (Cindy); twelve grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral service Friday, August 10, 2018 at Eden Mennonite Church, 21905 East 600 Road, Inola, Oklahoma with Dan Esau officiating. Burial will follow at Mennonite Brethren Cemetery near Inola.
