Michael Ray Church passed away on April 11, 2018. He was born on August 4, 1957 to Ray and Marion Moody Church in Van Nuys, California. He attended Birmingham High School and Pierce College. He married his sweetheart, Linda Sue Carpenter, in the Los Angeles Temple on November 11, 1978. Together they raised 5 children and were married for 39 years.

Mike loved the Gospel of Jesus Christ and was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served an LDS mission to Denver, Colorado in 1976. He had many callings, including First Counselor in the Bishopric.

He loved his job working with special needs students as a Para Educator for the Ogden School District and retired in May 2017 after 25 years. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles, History, Star Trek, Star Wars, and Dr. Pepper, and especially loved his cats.

Mike is survived by his wife, Linda, his children; Steven Ray (Daniela) Church, Mark Grant (Amy) Church, Kenneth Gordon Church, Daniel Michael Church, and Sarah Tracy; 4 grandchildren; Lindsay, Nathan, Ryan, and Justin; his mother; Marion Church; and his sisters; Susan Daum and Carolyn Smith. He is preceded in death by his father, Ray Church.

The family would like to say a special thank you to Access Hospice Care and to their wonderful people who gave loving care to Mike.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 16, 2018, at Lorin Farr 2nd Ward, 480 E 7th St., Ogden.
