Contrary to popular assumption, he is not son of William (or William Penn) Wilson and Nancy/Diana Green/Trott at all.

Moved to Williamson County, Tennessee in 1803 as part of the Dillahunty Migration (see https://www.tngenweb.org/williamson/Little/dillmig.html )

At time of his death, Marshall County was not created yet from Bedford County, Tennessee

Bought farm property in 1825 near Farmington. Died a year later. Farm was sold Feb 1830 immediately prior to family's move to Edwards county, Illinois, where daughter Ella married Andrew Morton Hamilton in 1832, and where older son Elijah Wilson was living in 1830 with his children with 1st wife.
