Daniel Irvin "Doobie" Welch was called home to be with the Lord on August 6, 2018. He was a longtime native of Citronelle, AL. He is preceded in death by his great-grand mother Annie Bell Roberts, his uncle, Willie Roberts and aunt, Angela Welch. He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories, his parents, Frank and Maxine Watkins of Citronelle, AL; his father, Irvin Watkins, Montgomery, AL; grandmother, Annie Welch, Citronelle, AL; brother, Frank (Daedra Dunigan) Watkins; nephews, Jayceon and Jahi Watkins; niece, Morgen Dunigan; great aunt, Theresa Roberts; aunts, Ninita (George) Shepard, Mobile, AL, Angela Welch, South Carolina; uncles, Clyde (Lillie) Roberts, Chickasaw, AL; Calvin (Theresa Johnson) Welch, Clarence (Lenora Beard) Welch, and Lemurial Hornbuckle; and a host of cousins and friends. The visitation will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 11 a.m. until the 1 p.m. funeral hour at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Citronelle, AL. Rev. Joseph Lafffiette, Pastor and Officiating Minister. Interment will follow in the Pilgrim Rest Cemetery, Citronelle, AL.
