Lola Fern Mann, Springfield, passed away December 16, 2017 at Willard Care Center. Lola was 100 years 7 months old.
She was born June 8, 1917 in Vernon County, Missouri, the daughter of David and Selma Scott. She graduated from El Dorado Springs High School and attended Central Missouri State College and Missouri State University in Springfield. She taught in 1 room schools in Vernon and Greene Counties. She was united in marriage to Charles O. Mann on September 1, 1940 and they shared almost 65 years.
Lola Fern is survived by her son David and his wife Debbie, grandson Randy Gardner and his wife Kim, granddaughters Rhonda Jackson and her husband Dwayne, and Aimee Dempsey and her husband Michael. Also surviving are twelve great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Lanell Cameron and many other family members and friends.
Lola Fern was preceded in death by her parents, Husband Charles, infant son Lonnie, daughter Carole Gardner Farrar, sister Ruby Kennedy, and many family and friends.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00pm at Greenlawn North on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, with visitation 1 hour prior to service. Reverend Richard Fine will be officiating. Burial will be immediately following in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
