Her obituary read: "Chicago Tribune (IL) Elizabeth Brosseau. Chicago Edition: Chicago Tribune. Chicago. Services for Mrs. Elizabeth Brosseau, who died in Germantown, Pa., at the age of 84, will be held in Our Lady Mount Carmel Church, 690 Belmont av., at 11 a.m. tomorrow. She was a native of Chicago and lived here for more than 75 years. She was the widow of Zenophile P. Brosseau, for many years a grain merchant here and a leader in the French colony. Mrs. Brosseau is survived by four sons, Louis C., Joseph E., Pierre, and Leonard A. Brosseau, and three daughters, Mrs. Genevieve Jenkins, Mrs. Louise Kiernan, and Mrs. Marion Hasslacher."
