Mrs. Allen was a native of Bluefield, WV and was one of sixteen children. She was a member of Destination Heaven Church in Sophia. She was formerly employed as a CNA with Bryan Center and Mountainview Care Center.
Mrs. Allen was preceded in death by her first husband, Estel E. Shutz, second husband, Bobby Allen, daughter, Carolyn Oaks and son, Michael Shutz.
She is survived by her son, David Shutz and wife Jeri Dawn of Asheboro; sister, Rachel Belcher of Blue Well, WV; grandchildren, Jonathan Oaks and wife Kristen, Joseph Shutz, T. J. Wall and wife Heather, Misty Wall, Crystal Oaks; 7 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Friday, August 10, 2018 from 6 - 8 PM at Pugh Funeral Home, 437 Sunset Avenue, Asheboro. The funeral will be Saturday, August 11, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Destination Heaven, 1796 Old Country Farm Road, Sophia with Pastor Bennie Smith officiating. Burial will be in Clearview Baptist Church Cemetery, Franklinville.
