Rosie Mae Mabley, 79, of Albany, formerly of Shedd, died Monday at Samaritan Albany General Hospital.

She was born to William and Amelia (Cheeney) Shutts in Redington, Neb.

She married Harold A. Mabley on Dec. 12, 1946.

Family and friends remember Rosie as a renowned cook. She worked for many years at Westy's before co-owning Johnny's Grill with her husband, Harold. After selling the restaurant, she worked at the Food Mill and was given a nickname as the "Taco Salad Queen." She was copilot and bookkeeper for Harold's trucking business for many years and enjoyed riding along and sharing adventures with him.

Rosie liked to garden, enjoyed reading, loved being with her family and was truly interested in other people

She was a member of the Church of God Seventh Day of Harrisburg.

She is survived by son Rod Mabley of Shedd; daughters Sharon Heibert and Karen Scroggins of Albany; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Her parents, husband and daughter Dorothy Fisher preceded her in death.

A graveside service will be at noon Friday at Twin Oaks Memorial Gardens in Albany with Pastor Glen Palmer officiating.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Church of God Seventh Day of Harrisburg Building Fund in care of Twin Oaks Funeral Home, P.O. Box 875, Corvallis, OR 97339-0875.
