She was a member of the Gamaliel Baptist Church.
Born in Monroe County on Feb. 5, 1933, she was a daughter of the late Homer and Lucinda (Crawford) Parsley and the wife of the late Wayne Howard.
Survivors include two sons, Royce and Dale Howard, both of Illinois; two daughters, Linda Buhl, of Missouri, and Trish Thinners, of Illinois; two sisters, Katherine Proffitt, Gamaliel, and Pearl Strode, Smiths Grove; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Graveside services were held at 10 a.m. on Aug. 17 at the Beautiful Home Cemetery in Monroe County, with Bro. Ira Doss officiating.
Local arrangements were under the direction of Yokley-Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.
