Susan Halvorsen Hogan, of Huntsville, AL passed away Sunday, August 5th at home, surrounded by her family. Preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Brian T Hogan. Survived by her daughter Juli I. Hogan of Huntsville; daughter Kathleen J Horak (Josef S. Horak-husband) of Huntingtown, MD; son. Devin Sean Hogan (James E. Moore-spouse) of Clarksville, TN. She also leaves two grandchildren Kat Horak of Key West, FL and Brian Horak of North Beach, MD

Born in Sheboygan, Wisconsin in 1936, she moved to Huntsville in 1978. Her interests included playing Contract Bridge for over 40 years. A lifelong learner, she was an avid reader, and spent hours on sudoku, cryptogram and large jigsaw puzzles. She was a nature lover and bird watcher. She was always interested in current events and politics. She was also a fervent NASCAR fan, and follower of many other sporting events. She spent many hours watching Huntsville Havoc or UAH hockey games.
