Kevin was born on July 28, 1964 and passed away on Thursday, August 2, 2018. Kevin was a resident of Salem, Virginia at the time of passing. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree as well as a Master of Business Administration. His love for sports led him to become a referee for many sports, but his favorite was football. Kevin served our country faithfully having a 22-year career in the United States Navy attaining the rank of Chief Petty Officer and continued his civil service through the Department of Veteran Affairs. A funeral service to celebrate Kevin's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home with Pastor Ken Nienke officiating. Burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem, Va.
