Franklin Dean “Frank” Ray, age 58 , of 326 White Oak Drive, Upper Tract, WV passed away on Saturday, August 4, 2018 at his residence.

He was born November 11, 1959 in Ripley, WV and was the son of Bill and Elladean (Fields) Ray of Ripley, WV.

In addition to his parents, Frank is survived by his wife of 31 years, Barbara (Greenawalt) Ray; one brother, Tim Ray and wife Karen of Ripley, WV and several nieces and nephews.

Frank graduated from Ripley High School in 1978. He worked as a roller operator for Blackrock Construction, B & S Construction and Adams Construction in Harrisonburg, VA for a total of 23 years. Later he worked for the West Virginia Department of Highways for 7 years as a roadside mower.

He was a member of Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church in Mozer, WV and a member of South Branch Ruritan Club of Upper Tract, WV.

Funeral service will be Tuesday 2 p.m. (August 7, 2018) at the Schaeffer Funeral Home in Petersburg with the Rev. David E. Webb and Minister Glen Hamric officiating.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral service.

Interment will follow in the Kline Cemetery at Kline, WV.
