Daniel Green Frazier Jr. Lansing Another member of America's Greatest Generation has left this world to join his maker. Daniel Green Frazier, 93, of Lansing, Michigan passed away on January 27, 2012 at his house surrounded by his family. He was born on January 26, 1919 in Early County, Georgia, the son of Daniel Green Frazier Sr. and Beatrice (Moore) Frazier. He graduated from Damascus High School, Damascus, Georgia. He farmed with his brothers before entering World War II. On February 8, 1948 he married Arletta Brown in Lansing. She passed away on November 20, 1999. He worked for many years for the J.W. Knapp Co. Lansing and retired in 1980 from J.C. Penny's in Lansing. He was a member of the Central United Methodist Church, Lansing. He enjoyed going to the lake, vacationing in the south, watching sports, and most of all, spending time with his family. He is survived by three sons: James D. and Mary Frazier of Grand Rapids, MI, John and Belia Frazier of Marlette, MI and Thomas Frazier and Carol VanRandwyk, of Haslett, MI; three grandchildren, Jason of North Carolina, Jeremy of Tennessee and Todd of Illinois; two step-granddaughters, Candace Cowen (Michael Herrick) of Haslett and Tonya Smith of Kinde, MI; two step-great-granddaughters, Katherine Herrick of Haslett and Katie Smith of Kinde; a step-great-grandson, Connor Smith of Kinde; brother, Ralph Moore of Georgia; and cousin, Ronnie (Sherry) Moore and family of Alabama. Special thanks to caregivers Sharon Bosworth, Cindy Hernandez, Michelle Motz, and Corina Slaughter-Jones. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 at the Chapel in the Pines Funeral Home 101 W. Jolly Rd. Lansing, MI 48910 with Pastor Francis Anderson officiating. Visitation will be conducted from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Monday. Interment will be at Mt. Rest Cemetery, St. Johns, Michigan.
