Helen Ann Dodd Pruitt, age 80, died Monday, August 6, 2018 at her residence in Aberdeen. She was born April 25, 1938 to H. W. Jim Dodd and Julia Alice Dodd in Monroe County (Binford). She was a life long resident of Binford Community. She retired after thirty two years working in the lab at Vista.
Survivors include three sons, Dale Pruitt, Wayne Pruitt and Lamar Pruitt (Tiffany) all of Binford Community; two grandchildren, Casey Pruitt (Kayla), and Justin Pruitt; one great grandchild, Brody Pruitt; one brother, Jimmy Lee Dodd of Starkville, MS and one sister, Edna Kendall of Huntsville, AL. She is preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Albert Dodd. Pallbearers are Mike Bunch, Kevin Bunch, Randy Boyd, Carhl Stahl, Casey Pruitt, Justin Pruitt, David Fisher, J. W. Kendall, Wesley Dodd. Memorials may be made to the Gideon Ministry and St. Jude.
Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p. m., Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Tisdale-Lann Memorial Funeral Home in Aberdeen. Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Friday, August 10, 2018 in the Tisdale-Lann Memorial Chapel in Aberdeen with Lamar Pruitt and Rev. Dave Dowdy officiating. Burial will be in Oddfellows Rest Cemetery.
