Gary P. Palotti, 58, of Washburn Drive, Simsbury, husband of Karen S. (Broberg) Palotti died Sunday, (October 1, 2000) at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford. He was born November 14, 1941 in Brockport, NY, son of Patrick and Dorothea (Lauber) Palotti and had lived in Duxbury, MA prior to moving to Simsbury ten years ago. He was a graduate of the University of Washington at Seattle. He was a Veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Palotti was employed by Heublin and Ocean Spray prior to opening his own company Colonial Consultants. He was a member of the First Church of Christ in Simsbury, a Scout Master for Boy Scout, Troop 76, and a former 15 year member of the Kiwanis group. Besides his wife, and parents, he is survived by three sons, Adam, Matthew and Joshua Palotti all of Simsbury; a brother, David Palotti of East Bethany, NY; and a sister, Kathleen Henry of Batavia, NY. Friends may call at the Vincent Funeral Home, 880 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury, Thursday, October 5, 6:30-8:30 p.m. Memorial service will be Friday, October 6, 11 a.m. at the First Chinch of Christ, 689 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury with Rev. Robert H. Naylor officiating. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to Boy Scout Troop 76, 5 Fairfield Lane, Simsbury, CT 06070, Simsbury Volunteer Ambulance, P.O. Box 301, Simsbury, CT 06070, and the Simsbury Volunteer Fire Department, 869 Hopmeadow Street, Simsbury, CT 06070.
