Sylvia Joyce Hopkins Ogle, age 72 of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, July 21, 2018. A native of Franklin County, she was born on April 7, 1946 in Winchester to the late C.W. and Margie Glasner Hopkins.
Before her retirement, Sylvia was employed for over thirty-eight years by Suntrust Bank in Winchester and was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church. Sylvia enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, as well as knitting, painting antiques, and travel.
She is survived by her loving husband of forty-six years, Jerry Ogle; brother, Bill (Mary Ann) Hopkins of Winchester; mother-in-law, Sara R. Ogle of Naples, Florida; brother-in-law, Larry Ogle of Naples, Florida; nieces, Regina (Neal) Towry and Amy Tucker, both of Estill Springs; nephew, Mike (Tappiann) Hopkins of Winchester; and great nieces and nephews, Josh, Jesslyn, and Jodi Towry, Corey and Claire Hopkins, and Mitchell and Amber Tucker.
Visitation will be from 1-3 pm Thursday, August 2, 2018 at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 3:00 pm in the Moore-Cortner Chapel.
