Ellen J. Crow, age 91, of Elgin, became a citizen of Heaven on May 31, 2016. She was born on August 29, 1924 in Wetaug, Illinois and was the daughter of the late Harley and Clara (nee Byers) Peeler. On March 3, 1956, Ellen married Harold Crow. Ellen and Harold served the Lord diligently through their love, faith, and active membership for over 40 years in the Our Redeemer Free Methodist Church in Elgin. Survivors include her husband of 60 years: Harold, and their children: Valerie Crow, John (Karen) Crow and Ellen's son from a previous marriage: Jerry (Sue) Toler. Ellen is also survived by her grandchildren: Cassy, Derek, Johanna, Cara, Kristy, Amy, David, Jerry, Allan along with many great-grandchildren. Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, her sister: Mary Peeler, a daughter: Brenda Crowe, and grandson: Jimmy Crowe. A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at Miller Funeral Home, 504 W. Main St., West Dundee. The Crow family will be receiving visitors at 2:00 pm until the time of the service. The Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee is assisting the family with all arrangements.
