Pamela was born on February 24, 1953 in Kansas City, Missouri. She was raised in Prairie Village and Lenexa, Kansas. She loved to garden, cook, feed people, and canned most anything she could put in a jar. She was famous for her Thanksgiving and Christmas parties. No one, especially a child, ever left her house without a gift from under her Christmas tree. She loved BBQ competitions with Cindy, Nancy, Chrissy, and her wonderful partner in crime, Cindy Diehl. Cindy and Larry were very dear to her.
Pamela moved in with Marla and Lance 11 years ago. She and Lance had a very special relationship. Pammy was definitely part of the Cooper family. We loved her so much. Her tin of peanut brittle she would send for Thanksgiving will sorely be missed. She was such a good friend to Marla and Lance – she was a sister.
Pamela always had a smile. She was never shy, always had a story to tell and had a cup of coffee ready for anyone that needed it. Pammy will be with us for a very long time and forever in our hearts.
Pamela was preceded in death by her mom and dad, Bob and Virginia Mathews, and her beloved niece, Christina Linden.
She is survived by her sisters, Mary Sue Linden and Cindy Mathews; her “Finest Joy”, Lance Cooper; and a multitude of friends whose lives she helped change, and in turn changed hers as well.
