Mitchell - Myrtle J. Ashbrook, 78, long time resident of Mitchell died at a Scottsbluff hospital late Thursday evening.
She was born Sept. 1, 1885 in Malcolm, Iowa, where she received her early education. She moved with her parents to Loveland, Colo., in 1900 and in 1910 moved to Mitchell, where she has since resided.
She was a member of the Mitchell Federated Church.
She Married Harry H. Ashbrrok, Oct. 8, 1913 in Mitchell. He preceded her in death, in 1947. Also precedin her were two brothers and three sisters.
Only survivors are several neices and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Jones Mortuary in Mitchell, with the Rev. Wade H. Scott officiating. Burial will be in the Mitchell Cemetery.
A memorial has been established to the Federated Church.
