Sharon "Kay" Ramirez, age 74, passed into eternal rest on August 4, 2018. She was born July 6, 1944 to parents Royal Clifton Cox and Jacqueline Shirley Cooper Cox. Kay was an elegant and proper lady who loved music. Her family and the Lord were her passions. She was devoted to the Virgin Mary and Sacred Heart.


Left to cherish her memories are husband of 48 years Ervin Ramirez; children: Anthony Taylor, Monica Jones, Angela Childs, Michael & Ruby Ramirez, Jerry & Laurie Ramirez, Kathleen Ramirez, Victoria & Michael Gauss, Miranda & Brian Cuellar, Melissa & Andrew Lomoc, Sarah & Oscar Leon, John Ramirez and 39 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.


Family will receive friends and extended family for visitation Tuesday, August 7, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039 with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. The funeral mass will be on Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalene, 527 South Houston Avenue, Humble, Texas 77338 with burial at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, Texas 77038.
