YARMOUTH - J. Edmund Landry, 97, of Yarmouth, and formerly of Amirault's Hall, died Thursday in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born in Amirault's Hill, he was a son of the late Remi and Madeline (Muise) Landry. He was a retired fisherman. He is survived by four daughters, Louise (Mrs. Gerald Gaudet), Evelyn (Mrs. Edward Doucette), Helen (Mrs. Clifford Hipson) and Lorraine (Mrs. Frank DeViller), all of Yarmouth; four sons, Ernie and Eddie, both of Amirault's Hill; Pius, Sand Beach, and Alcide, Yarmouth; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Lucy Saulnier, and five sons. The body is in Sweeny’s Funeral Home. Yarmouth. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Saturday in Notre Dame Church, Yarmouth, Rev. E. Mills officiating, with burial in Our Lady of Calvary Cemetery. Donations may be to the Victorian Order of Nurses.
