Willie "Johnny" Long Sr., age 73, passed away August 2, 2018 surrounded by his family.
He was born November 25, 1944 to Joe and Lilly (Lyons) Long. He was retired from the City of Knoxville where he worked for over 30 years.
He will be remembered for his love of cars, NASCAR, and TN Vols football.
He is preceded in death by wife, Linda (Bowling) Long; son, Willie Long Jr.; and brothers Cliff and Bill Long.
He is survived by sons Jeffrey (Jodi) Long, Greg (Deb) Long, and John Long; daughter, Susan (Frank) Beeler; brother Berney (Berniece) Long; sister Alys Graves; and 8 grand children and 4 great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. on Monday, August 6, 2018 at Mynatt Funeral Home Fountain City Chapel, with a service to follow at 7:00 p.m.
Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, August 7, 2018 at Greenwood Cemetery for an 11:00 a.m. graveside service.
