A memorial service will be held for Ryan Harris on Sunday, September 30, 2012, at 3:00 p.m., in the worship center at Hardy Street Baptist Church. Ryan passed away on September 22, 2012 in Newton, MS.
Ryan was a former student of the Petal School System. He was currently attending school at Newton High School. He was an active member of Hardy Street Baptist Church, formerly Temple Baptist Church, in Hattiesburg, MS.
As a youngster, Ryan played baseball with the Dixie Youth Baseball League. He was a Life Scout with the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 68 of Petal, MS. He was also previously awarded an Appreciation Certificate for volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, building houses on Edwards Street.
Ryan was involved with his church and community, and loved by many! According to his brother Chris, he dreamed big!
Ryan was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Jerry L. Johnson, of Hattiesburg. He is survived by his mother, Catherine J. Harris, and his brother, Christopher Harris, both of Hattiesburg, his grandmother, Mazelle Rowell of Newton, MS., his father, Steve Harris of Newton, MS, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
