Marjorie Ann Bennett, 71, of Monroeton, Pennyslvania, passed away Saturday evening, Aug. 4, 2018, at the Bradford County Manor in West Burlington Township, Pennsylvania.
Marjorie was born in Sayre, Pennsylvania on Nov. 29, 1946, she was the daughter of Robert Allen Bennett and Rose Marie Scott Bennett. In early years, Marjorie was employed by the dietary services department at Memorial Hospital in Towanda and later provided custodial service for the Citizens & Northern Bank in Monroeton for 26 +/- years, as well as housekeeping services for area families. Marjorie was a member of a local bowling league for several years, she loved the outdoors, gardening, walking, and maintaining her flowerbeds.
Marjorie is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Kevin Lee Bennett and Tammy Isbell Bennett of North Towanda; daughter, Tammy Lynn Forrest of Monroeton; grandchildren, Tiffany South and husband Paul of Williamsport, Travis Forrest of Ulster, Casondra Marjorie Carter and husband Steven of North Towanda, Courtney Leanne Bennett of North Towanda; brothers, Gary Bennett of Monroeton, Eugene Bennett and wife Esther of Towanda, Ronald Bennett and wife Carol of New Albany; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marjorie was predeceased by her life partner, Alfred E. Dunn on March 11, 2007; father, Robert Allen Bennett on Aug. 2, 1970; mother, Rose Marie Scott Bennett on April 28, 2013; and sisters, Phyllis Rose Bennett on July 14, 1952, and Doris Marie Kelley on Nov. 10, 1987.
A private funeral service will be held at the convenience of the family. There are no calling hours.
