Charles “Charlie” Clayton Isbell Sr. was called home on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at the age of 66. He was the devoted husband of 45 years to Sylvia Doran Isbell. Loving father of Catherine “Cathi” Isbell Anderson (Randy) and Charles “Clay” Clayton Isbell Jr. (Lynn). Adoring grandfather of Marissa B. & Sarra M. Dominio, Randal “Drew”, Gabrielle A. & Sean M. Anderson and Amanda A. Isbell. Son of the late Thomas E. Isbell Sr. and Vera Mae Livingston Isbell. Step-son of the late Ruby Isbell. Brother of Thomas E. Isbell Jr. (Lou), Cola “Sis” T. Dennis and the late Jack C. Isbell. Step-brother of Richard Earl Redden (Diane), Clayton Dean Brannon (Anne) and James Ray Redden (the late Mamie). He is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Charles was a native of Hattiesburg and a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish, where he was the founding owner of Clayton Motors. Following Hurricane Katrina, Charles has since resided in Mandeville, LA with his family. He will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal husband, father, grandfather and brother, who treasured his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, April 28th from 12:00PM – 3:00PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 3:00PM. Burial will be private.
