Donna Lois (Hammontree) Daniel went to be with her Lord on August 3, 2018. She was the fourth and last child of Paul D. and Hazel Hammontree. Donna was born on their farm near Holden, Missouri on January 11, 1932. As a young girl she accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and was very active in the churches where they were members.
Donna graduated from Holden High School where she was a majorette and played marimba. She was also an excellent student. Shortly after high school on May 21, 1950 she married Wendell Daniel. She supported her husband in many moves with International Harvester Company. Donna was a wonderful mother to her children, David and Marilyn, and to Christy Nisbeth when she joined the family for several years.
Donna was very accomplished in her creativity - cooking, painting, flower arranging, sewing and gardening.
After a long battle with leukemia she has joined Wendell, her husband and her Lord Jesus Christ. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, and her siblings, Paul Hammontree, Edith Pieron, and Robert Hammontree. She is survived by her son David Daniel, and his wife, Jane, her daughter, Marilyn Kalwat, and her husband, Robert, and her grandchildren, Ashleigh Kalwat and Brian and Danielle Kalwat and a great grandson on the way.
Interment at Sunset Hill Cemetery in Warrensburg, MO.
