Dorothy Jean Keith, 74, of Amarillo died Monday, Nov. 3, 2003.
Prayer services will be at 7 p.m. today in N.S. Griggs and Sons Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel, 2615 Paramount Blvd. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Mary's Catholic Church with Monsignor Francis A. Smyer officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery.

Mrs. Keith was born to Emma and Paul Rice and was a lifelong resident of Amarillo. She attended Amarillo Public Schools and Amarillo College. She married Jack Keith of Amarillo on Aug. 18, 1972, in Albuquerque, N.M.

She helped in bringing the first professional hockey team to Amarillo and was a volunteer for several charitable organizations. She retired from Harrington Cancer Center in 1991. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband; two sons, Blake Keith of California and Paul Baker of Amarillo; two daughters, Robin Crow of Amarillo and Natalie Madrigal of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two stepsons, Bill Keith of Houston and Mark Keith of New Braunfels; a stepdaughter, Amy Kaplan of Amarillo; nine grandchildren; six stepgrandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials be to BSA Hospice of Amarillo or a favorite charity.
