Frances McGlamery Wells, 81, went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 4, 2018 at her home in Sevierville.
She was a member of Jones Chapel Baptist Church.
She was retired from Dan River Textiles where she was a cloth inspector.
Frances was devoted to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her husband of over 62 years, William “Boyd” Wells; parents, Clifford and Edith McGlamery; son-in-law, Lincoln “Gale” Allen; grandson, Justin Whaley; two siblings, Charles McGlamery and Blanche Green.
Frances is survived by daughter, Debbie Allen and son-by-choice, Bobby (Sheila) Whaley; grandchildren, Whitney (Charlie) Hodges, William (Sarah) Allen, and Heather Whaley (Paul Jennings); great grandchildren, Hunter and Abigale Allen, Liam Hodges, and soon to be Finley Jennings; three siblings, Marjorie Stapleton, Phyllis (C.D.) Parrott Price and Brice McGlamery; many beloved nieces, nephews and special friend, Gay (Larry) West.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Eden Cemetery and the Jones Chapel Baptist Church youth fund.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 7, 2018 with the funeral service following at 7:00 PM in the West Chapel of Atchley
Funeral Home, Sevierville.
Graveside services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, August 8, 2018 at Eden Cemetery.
