Funeral services for Mr. J. R. Burkett are scheduled for 11:00am, Thursday, May 15, 2003 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Beecham officiating. Mass will follow at 12:00pm at St. Andrews Catholic Church, and then burial in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Mr. Burkett died Tuesday in Jackson. He was a carpenter. Survivors include his two sons, Billy Burkett of Yuma (and mother, Joni Heffron), Michael Burkett of Beech Bluff(and mother, Mary Burkett), daughter, Lisa Burkett of Beech Bluff, three brothers, Eddie Burkett of Lexington, and Ray and Leon Wade of Huron, and three sisters, Corneila Tubbs of Sardis, Wille Mae Webb of Huron, and Faye Hodges of Lexington.
