Mr. John Kelvin Albea, 46, of Mountain Vista Ct., Hiddenite, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, June 12, 2016.

Mr. Albea was born June 27, 1969 in Iredell County to Dwain Kelvin Albea of Statesville and Martha Ann Fleming Melton of Ellenboro.

He was a self-employed stone mason and was a member of Hiddenite Baptist Church.

John graduated from South Iredell High School in 1987. He was a wonderful father and husband. He was an artist, accomplished guitar player, and enjoyed playing golf, cooking and writing. He could build basically anything he wanted to build.

He was preceded in death by: a brother, Eric Dwain Albea and grandfather, John Franklin Fleming, Jr.

Those left to cherish his memory including: his wife, Crystal Lynn Grantham Albea of the home; his father, Dwain Kelvin Albea and wife, Sylvia; his mother, Martha Melton and husband, Russell; four daughters, Willow Albea of the home, Amber Osbourn and husband, Ryan, of Okinawa, Japan, Jamie Pena and husband, Uriel, of Okinawa, Japan, and Katelyn Kennedy of the home; two sons, Colt Albea of the home and Gage Moore of Norfolk, VA; three granddaughters, Rilee Osbourn, Ayvree Osbourn, Sophia Pena all of Okinawa, Japan; a sister, Meredith Morse of Spindale; two step-brothers, Mark Rogers and wife, Kelly, and David Rogers and wife, Dana, all of Statesville.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Adams Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Don Ingle will officiate.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
