PLANO--Judith "Judy" Grace Rapfogel Cooper passed away Wednesday evening, Aug. 1, 2018, after a long struggle with breast cancer. SERVICE: Rabbi Brian Zimmerman will officiate a private service in the Beth-El Section of Greenwood Memorial Park. MEMORIALS: Should friends desire, they may send memorial contributions to Breast Cancer Research Foundation, 28 W. 44th St., Suite 609, New York, NY 10035, www.bcrfcure.org. Judy was born March 4, 1939, in the Bronx Borough of New York City. In 1956, she moved with her family to Fort Worth where she attended TCU and was actively involved in the family construction business. Judy was a devoted daughter and selflessly served as caregiver to her ailing parents, Bernice and Morty Rapfogel, for many years. She was a member of Beth-El Congregation in Fort Worth for over 50 years. Friends and family will fondly remember Judy for her bravery, kindness, compassion, humor, shared stories of her recent "bucket list" trips and for being an all-around good sport. Her signature saying of late understandably was, "Screw the Golden Years!" Judy was preceded in death by her parents and aunt and uncle, Ruth and Irv Rapfogel. SURVIVORS: In addition to her daughters and their husbands, Robin Frisbie (Scott) of Houston and Stefanie Toppel (Steve) of Plano, Judy was grandmother of Alex, Taylor, Mandy, Blakely, Ryan (Lauren), Melissa (Colin), Michael and Reed; great-grandmother to Callahan; and brother, Steve Rapfogel of Fort Worth. She is also survived by her devoted companion, Richard Bernstein of Dallas; nephew and niece, Robert and Lisa; great-nephew, Andrew; cousins, Nan Freund (Evan), Max Freund (Cynthia), Alex Freund (Lisa), Rick Rapfogel (Diane), Karl Rapfogel (Jane Anne), Jed Rapfogel, Beth Roy (Mariah) and Tuhin Roy (Juliette).
