Betty M. Gipson, who resided in Charleston, Arkansas, passed away Friday, August 3, 2018, in Fort Smith, Arkansas. She was born April 22, 1941, in Sebastian County near Lavaca, Arkansas, to the late William Ralph Hutchins and Eula Faye (Harris) Hutchins. She was 77 years old. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Gipson; a sister, Lodema Ramsey and three brothers, Kelly Jack, Bill, and Bob Hutchins.
Betty was retired owner and operator of Granny's Restaurant in Charleston and she was of the Free Will Baptist faith.
Graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 6th, at Mayberry Cemetery, located in Central City, under the direction of Brotherton Brothers Funeral Home and Flower Shop in Charleston.
She is survived by a daughter, Glenda Meyers and husband Dean of Alma; two sons, Mitchell Hutchins and Mikie Hutchins, both of Charleston; two brothers, J.C. Hutchins and wife Paula of Lavaca and Warren Hutchins of Charleston; six grandchildren, Amber, Dannielle, Brandi, Hannah, Abigail and Caleb; six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Eddie Hutchins, Bailey Hutchins, Kelly Hutchins, Johnny Harris, David Harris and Roger Harris.
The family will visit with friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
