Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, August 6, 2018 at Hosanna Lutheran Church in Mankato. Burial will be at Barnard’s Valley View Cemetery in Good Thunder, Minnesota. Visitation will be held from 4 – 7 p.m. Sunday at Northview~North Mankato Mortuary. Visitation continues one hour before the service at the church on Monday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the donor’s choice.
Janet L. Phelps was born March 17, 1962 to William and Alice (Isberg) Phelps in Mankato. She graduated from Amboy – Good Thunder High School in 1980 and graduated from Mankato Vocational Technical Institute. Janet worked as an account clerk for MRCI for 33 years.
She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Vernon Center where she was a former youth leader. Janet helped with the 4th of July Celebration in Vernon and was a political campaign volunteer.
Janet enjoyed attending and supporting her nieces and nephews events. She was an avid Twins fan.
Janet is survived by her four siblings. Karen (Ken) Bunde, Donna (Dale) Nelson, Diane (Charly) Roelofs, Bill (Sara) Phelps; sister-in-law, Kirsten Phelps; 13 nieces and nephews; 14 great nieces and nephews; aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death by her parents and brother Charlie.
